Expanded inventory of any kind??
Ok I paid my $50, I'm dealing with the bugs, I'll eat the loss of 2 slots, or at least planning to.
But a bit of the ways in with my Tyria and new Cantha character and I'm not seeing anything expanding inventory in new ways. Not storage, not what the characters hold (ie no superior rune of holding for the bags). Now I'm just getting tired of it all - I'm hoping someone could point out something I've missed or haven't gotten to yet. Because EQ over 5 years ago let me put bags with stuff in it in storage. And D2 when it expanded added to the storage significantly. Both allowed for A LOT more characters. If ANets solution is to force us to play the mule game ($10/ea come summer) I'm not biting. Come freakin on. What happened to mention of holiday storage, expanding the bags, giving us some breathing room??? So I hope someone shuts me up and clues me in. Because it seems to me ANet feels like they can, or rather not do, any dang thing they want. And I'm not going to play with juggling all my characters and through storage and maybe muling on my wifes account and it becoming more ridiculous the more chapters we go. In the words of Dr Evil - 'Throw me a frickin bone here!' |

ANet is working on some tweaks for storage. Be patient, things are going to change, but they haven't said how, simply that improvments are coming.

Well I`m with you on the storage thing. I`ve played since E3, pre-ordered both games and now with the Pre-order Tengu mask I have something that`s mearly a decoration to take up 1 more slot in an already packed storage. If they are going to keep giving us things that have no other value in game but to have fun we need places to keep them. I am not a horder, I sell just about everything I get. I`ve got 2 sets of armour, 2 axes 2 swords, dye and a couple of items to sell if I can find the right person but I have another character that I can`t play because he`s stuffed with holiday items, not to mention I can`t have fun and wear them around town without having to do the character switch. Sooner would be better than later in this instance.

Anet talked about "guild storage" and it ended up being only your personal storage in the guild hall... I hope im missing something here.

Mtank, that sounds like shared guild storage. Personally, I'm not putting my extra weapon/armor sets and ectos, shards, and monstrous items in there, even though I love my guildies.
I hate to be cynical, but by throwing in these holiday trinkets that are collectible yet worthless, its tightening up storage considerably.....and they throw out the $10/2 slots thing when this thing is coming to a head. Coincidence? I sure hope not. |

I would hope that the guild storage would have a shared section and also have a personal section. Either that or have expanded personal storage, or a personal armory for your extra weapons and armor and a supplies locker.

Although guild shared storage sounds like a great idea, imo there will be a mass of emails and complaints received by Anet about the thefts of the items that were stored there. People will trust others and some new guild member will take all of the items and leave the guild. Sure, you could ban him, but what's the point of that? People will still constantly do this..

So far it's been a buggy ride with no additions to inventory or trade/auction ability. Yes I like the surprise pets. Yes I like the fact armor form NO LONGER is stuck to armor function. But patience? Like chapter3/chapter4 or buy more character slots for mules patience? Holiday items, KEYS (for the love of all, give us a key ring or somethign so we actually have some of these on us), collector items ad infinitum, crafting items ad infinitum, mods, different armors/weapons/equip different builds... How superior runes of holding for bags and an increase to account storage hasn't increased at a minimum is boggling my mind. And quite frankly unless noise is made they'll think they can get away with this too/make you mule/make you pay more for it. I'm getting to the point I've never played a more inconvenient game of swapping since this type of game arose. |

Anyways back my topic, nothing on invidual storage yet, yay :b
edit - I mean they're supposed to be a smart bunch right? Make us have keys yet more storage space? How about a keyring that stores say 5 keys so you're not always without what you need? Really, why can't we put a bag into a storage slot with stuff in it? What happened to holiday item storage? Why not some help with collector and material items? Mask, minipets neat stuff, but more inventory space. I really appreciate the extras but ANET DON'T FORGET THE BASICS! :b Last edited by CKaz; May 01, 2006 at 02:06 PM // 14:06.. |
